Throwback Track

Featured Artist

This week our featured artist is Frances Quinlan. Over the past decade, she’s made a name for herself in the indie community as the lead songwriter of the band Hop-Along. During her years with the band, she used her music to work through her ideas of female capability and what she herself is capable of as an individual. I personally really love her airy vocals mixed with some really different instrumental combinations that you don’t hear in a lot of music; like synth and harps together. If you wanna get a really good taste of everything Frances has done, I suggest looking outside of her solo work (which at this point is just two songs) and checking out Hop-Along too.
